I am a Mom of my beautiful 2 years old
son. I’ve been a full time house wife for almost 2 years now and thinking of ways on how to help my husband financially by earning money while at home. Freelancing mom is not yet a trend before and also never heard about freelancing job that allows mother like me to stay in the house while working.
First work that I’ve done was selling ukay-ukay, somehow it helps us to pay our bills. I was pregnant that time and I’m not able to continue after giving birth to my son.
As a mother I always chose what’s best for my son, willing to give up everything. Hoping that he will not experience the hardship that I’ve been through. At the end of the day, I always have this thought that my son is growing up and soon will attend the kindergarten, can we afford to send him to a descent school? How about in college? And last but not the least are we doing our job as a parent? Parenting has a great impact on Child's development that need to address properly. With these running in my head I decided to browse the internet, mostly Facebook, to look for a home based job that allows me to work while taking care of my son.
Until one day one of my friend in Facebook shared a post from Filipino Virtual Assistance. I read the content and eventually visit their Facebook page, I was curious and interested at the same time. First thing that caught my attention was the job hiring post from client overseas! I was amazed by the salary, like where you can get a salary minimum of 3 USD per hour? That is equivalent to 150 php! Totally awesome! Right? And then I saw the FVA Courses, luckily they have ECQ promo and it’s really affordable. That’s when I’m thinking of enrolling to one of their course. I actually wondered for a week if I would continue. What I did is I read comments on their post to check if it’s 100% Legit, and I’ll tell you now it’s 101% Legit! I have read tons of success stories and many are being hired after they have finished the course. Eventually I end up enrolling to one of their course which is Freelancing Course. I am not actually writing this article now if not because of them, I am happy because I get to know more of myself on what are the things that I’m capable of and on how to improve my skills.
Throughout the day I always make sure to give my son enough time to play with him and at night I am also attentive on what he is up to while I’m working on my portfolios, because there is a time that he played with his milk and our bed was a messed and his clothes as well! It’s better to keep your eyes to your child while working, especially if they are 3 years old and below. My husband is working in a corporate setting for almost 2 years’ now. He goes to work early in the morning and coming home late at night and it’s a very tiring routine, so I just let him rest and sleep after the dinner. He is a great father to our son and a wonderful husband to me. I thank God for my Family and prayed for his blessings, mercy and guidance upon us.
As of now I’m still refining my skills. Doing what’s needed to be done. I spent time working on my portfolios at wee hours when my son is asleep. To the mother who is reading this now, know that your hardship will eventually paid-off, every sleepless night you spent will not be a waste of your effort and time. Make your child an inspiration and the most important thing is believing in yourself that you can, believe me we will survive this, just keep on moving, be positive. Keep on Rocking mommies!
Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my coach, It’s an honor being coached by Julmar Grace Locsin, she is very hands on to her students, very approachable and down to earth person. I highly recommend their way of teaching. I learned a lot and she guided me well. So if you’re planning to be a Freelancer mom like me, don’t hesitate to enroll, I tell you it’s worth it! Yes, the competition is tough, that’s why we need to focus on our goal, if you’re worried about your skills don’t worry everything can be learned and you will be guided accordingly. I am not a tech savvy but I have overcome one of my weakness. As I have mentioned earlier they have tons of success stories. Who knows we might be the one sharing our success stories one of this day. So stop doubting yourself, get up and act now!
